POCSO Awareness Session Empowers Students
Our school recently organized an invaluable awareness programme on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO)
Act. We were honoured to host Inspector Sunita Behera, who interacted directly with the students to educate them on personal
safety, boundaries, and their legal rights. Inspector Behera emphasized the importance of recognizing unsafe situations, trusting
one’s instincts, and speaking up without fear. Students learned about the critical reporting mechanisms available to them,
including the national Childline helpline (1098). This session successfully empowered our students with the knowledge and
confidence needed to ensure their own safety and well-being.
